Caceres Real Estate was founded on a simple idea: commercial real estate works better when your broker actually knows the market, knows the people, and picks up the phone.
Our Story
Ron Caceres started this brokerage because he saw a gap in Yolo County. The big firms in Sacramento treated Woodland, Davis, and West Sacramento as an afterthought. Owners and tenants deserved better: a broker who understood the local economy and could walk a property in 20 minutes instead of scheduling a trip from across the river.
That commitment to local knowledge and personal service became the foundation of Caceres Real Estate. Over the years, we have built relationships with property owners, business operators, and investors across the region. Many of our deals come from repeat clients and referrals, and that is exactly how we like it.
Tim Schimmel joined the team to carry that mission forward. With fresh energy and deep local expertise, Tim brings a hands on, no nonsense approach to every deal. Together, Ron and Tim offer clients the rare combination of deep experience and day to day availability.

Ron has been a licensed real estate broker for more than 25 years. Between 2000 and 2016, Ron was the owner and president of R.C.I. Development, a real estate development and investment company that invested in and/or developed more than 60 real estate projects ranging from small retail developments to large subdivisions. Prior to that, he was the founder of mortgage banking firm Newmark Realty Capital. While at Newmark, Ron originated in excess of $500 million of commercial financing.

Tim Schimmel

With over 20 years in real estate and a broker's license since 2012, Tim Schimmel brings extensive experience in investment, development, and commercial transactions. He began in the mortgage industry before transitioning to commercial real estate development in 2008, acquiring and building out distressed subdivisions. In 2016, Tim shifted focus to raising capital for retail and industrial projects in Yolo County. Now with Caceres Real Estate, he specializes in helping business owners and investors buy, sell, lease, develop, and manage commercial properties in Woodland, Davis, and West Sacramento.
